“Wanting their wedding to feel super-romantic and light, Heather Guay (32 and a public relations executive at Bloomingdale’s) and Jason Yoo (36 and the president of Team Yoo Taekwondo & Sports Performance) chose a white and gold palette accented with pops of light blue to play up their island location. Salt Harbor Designs helped with the wedding planning, arranged the lush, white florals and created all the day-of stationery, which really brought Heather and Jason’s vision to life. “If you are having a destination wedding that is a little hard to navigate, it is best to hire a local planner,” Heather says. “Salt Harbor Designs helped us navigate a lot of the small things about the island that I would have never taken into account.” Although Heather and Jason live in Washington, DC, Heather grew up in North Carolina, and she really wanted to share the island with her and Jason’s friends and family. Without missing a beat, she knew it would be Bald Head Island Club in Bald Head Island, North Carolina. One of our favorite details was the stunning hanging floral box over the head table at the reception. It totally brought the outside in and added an overgrown garden aura to the tented space. Plus, who says centerpieces have to be on the table? Check out our favorite details from this romantic garden wedding, beautifully captured by Millie Holloman Photography.”
